Brand identity & websites
You already know how good your business is. Now it gets to look like it on the outside.
I create thoughtful brand identities and websites for businesses that want to look as considered, capable and distinctive as the work they do.
Most of my clients arrive without a specific complaint. They like their concept, more or less — but something sits wrong and they can’t name it. Usually it comes down to one thing: they don’t see themselves anywhere in it.
How I think about it
Good design is no accident.
The best brands come from knowing where the essence lies, and from the courage to deliberately leave everything else out.
The rebrands that last let people see the person behind the business. Branding doesn’t only speak about the work — it also speaks about you and your story.
Who it’s for
You’re starting out …
You need a brand that makes the business feel real — and gives you something that represents you perfectly on the outside.
Or you’ve outgrown what you have …
The business has moved on, but the identity and website haven’t caught up.
Or you can’t say what’s wrong.
Nothing is broken. It looks fine. It just doesn’t feel right any more, and you’ve stopped being able to explain why.
The logo
Anchored, but not stuck.
A seahorse holds on when it needs to and lets go when it doesn’t. That’s the balance I want in a rebrand — a brand anchored enough to represent you, but open enough to leave you room to grow.
In practice it means I don’t replace what already works about your branding. I make it legible from outside, so a stranger understands in ten seconds what you currently have to explain.
What I do
Three things, and they work best together.
Brand identity
Strategy, logo, colour, typography and the visual system that makes everything feel like it belongs.
Website & digital
A considered website that carries the identity, communicates clearly and works properly across devices.
Creative direction
The wider visual thinking: imagery, styling, art direction and the details that make a brand feel finished.
If you know exactly what you need, choose a package. If you don’t, that’s what the first conversation is for.
How I work
Thoughtful before visual.
01
Talk
Forty-five minutes, free, no pitch. You don’t need a brief or a diagnosis — “something feels off” is enough to start with.
02
Listen
I listen for what you actually stand for — how you work, what you refuse to do, what people come to you for. That is the material a logo is made from.
03
Direct
A small number of considered directions, each with a reason. Every one has to show two things: what the business stands for, and what you stand for as its owner.
04
Refine
You choose the direction. We adjust the concept — for as long as it takes until it feels right.
05
Hand over
The chosen logo is redrawn by hand, then you receive the complete files, the practical guidance and the access you need. It is yours to use exclusively.
The work
Good design is easy to show. The interesting question is what it changed.
I can tell you how I work. Clients can tell you what it actually felt like — the situation, the thinking, the result, and their own words about it.
Read the workReady for your brand to catch up?
Tell me what you’re building, what’s not working and what you want it to look like next. We’ll have a conversation, and I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right person for it.
I deliberately keep the number of projects I take on small, so each one gets the attention it deserves.
